War can be described as 'the consequence of not changing minds'. When diplomacy fails, war ensues. And within war, many of the tactics are psychological rather than physical. If you can confuse, surprise, demoralize or terrorize the other side, then the battle may be won with far less actual fighting.

And, as with other disciplines, these principles and methods are transportable into more social settings.
