Prepositions of place

Method

Use prepositions of place to communicate about where things are. Note that the 'place' can be cognitive as well as physical. Prepositions of place include: at, in, on, by, under, near.

Use this to subtly shift perceptions of where things are. Create imaginative edifices using prepositions to quietly build and shift ideas in cognitive space.

Example

Imagine you're at the house now. What do you see in there?

Discussion

Prepositions of place locate nouns in space, answering the question 'Where?'. This can be at a specific point (in the corner) or place (in London).

We live in three-dimensional space, and use this system of perception for creating three-dimensional perceptions for our ideas and concepts. Prepositions can be powerful little tools for creating those images in your arguments and other communications.
